Stone Old Alleynians are putting in the hard miles to start their Emirates FA Cup journey

Stone Old Alleynians know a thing or two about long journeys as they’re one of the most Northern clubs in the Midlands Football League.

They regularly face long away day trips to the likes of Worcester City, Bewdley Town and Racing Club Warwick during the season. However, on Saturday they face an even longer journey to start their Emirates FA Cup campaign.

The Meir Heath based side travel to Northamptonshire to face Cogenhoe United in the Extra Preliminary round of the competition. It’s a 200-mile round trip to Crompton Park for the game.

Old Alleynians’ manager Luke Askey hopes that his side can get a win so the journey back to Staffordshire is a bit more bearable.
