Port Vale have formally announced that Darrell Clarke will become the Valiants next Manager after they agreed a severance package with Walsall Football Club.
Clarke joins the Valiants will a glowing CV having managed at Salisbury City, Bristol Rovers and Walsall covering a total of 479 matches, including 213 wins. Clarke achieved two promotions with Salisbury before his switch to Bristol Rovers where he took the Pirates to League One in 2015/16.
Port Vale co-owner Carol Shanahan said:

Danny Pugh is expected to continue in his role as 1st Team Coach and the Valiants will continue to bolster their backroom staff as they look to employ an Academy Head of Coaching to be be appointed in due course.
