Woman Charged with Racially Aggravated Harassment

A woman has been charged following a race hate incident at a Walleys Quarry protest.

Angela Jade Wint, 53, of Gordon Street, Newcastle-under-Lyme, has been charged with racially/religiously aggravated intentional harassment/alarm/distress.

Police were called at 1.50pm on 20 September to reports of a race hate crime towards a man taking place at the Walleys Quarry protest on the same day.

She has been released on conditional bail and is due to appear at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre on 14 December.
