Karen Bradley, Member of Parliament for the Staffordshire Moorlands, has spoken exclusively to Moorlands Radio about the latest revelations in regards to the alleged Downing Street parties.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has today re-affirmed his belief that the 20th May 2020 gathering in the gardens of Number 10 Downing Street was a work function.
He told Beth Rigby of Sky News he would not have allowed the event to take place if someone had told him such a gathering was against the rules, he said:
“I’m saying categorically that nobody told me, nobody said this was something that was against the rules, doing something that wasn’t a work event because frankly, I can’t imagine why it would have gone ahead or it would have been allowed to go ahead if it was against the rules.”
The Prime Minister once again offered his humble apologies for any ‘misjudgements’ that were made on his watch.
