New Leek Town signing Jake Avery believes that the Blues will once again be challenging for promotion come the end of the 2023/24 season.
After five years of either missing out in the playoffs or having the season cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the former Hanley Town player feels that this is a make-or-break season for the Moorland’s Men.
As well as discussing Leek’s prospects for the new season, Avery was full of praise for everyone he has already met at the F Ball Community Stadium, from the behind-the-scenes staff to his new teammates as pre-season training got underway this week.
