Mining lamps have returned to the St John’s Road roundabout in Biddulph.
Mining lamp sculptures were first installed in 2004.
They were removed from the site in 2022 due to the need for repair and health and safety concerns.
Biddulph Town Council made a commitment to bring back the public art to the roundabout.
The original lanterns could not be repaired, so the town council worked with a fabrication company in Burslem to create the new mining lamps.
The lamps are powered by solar power and should have a blue glow after dark. Plaques will be installed in the coming weeks.
