Reform UK members have elected Martin Murray as their new Leader for the controlling political party at Staffordshire County Council.
Martin, is currently Acting Leader of the County Council and Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills.
Martin will remain in post until a Leader of the Council is formally selected by members at an additional meeting of the Full Council on March 26.
Hayles Coles, the Cabinet Member for Communities and Culture, has been appointed Deputy Group Leader.
Day‑to‑day operations will continue as normal and the Council will press on in delivering its new strategic direction across all cabinet portfolios.
