Appeal After Man Spotted Engaging in Sex Act in Car

Police are appealing for information after a man was seen engaging in a sex act while pretending to ask for directions from a 17-year-old girl in Fenton.

Officers were called shortly before 4pm on Thursday (27 May) to Little Cliffe Road following reports received from the girl’s grandmother.

Police attended and the victim said she was beckoned over to a vehicle travelling from Dorcas Drive, as a driver had asked for directions.

As the victim approached, the man spoke to her in an inappropriate way and she saw that he was engaging in a sex act.

She immediately ran away and was left highly distressed but unhurt.

The driver is described as an Asian male in his early 20s, with short black hair with a quiff on the top and a neatly-trimmed beard. He was wearing black trousers and a black top.

He is believed to have been travelling in a black VW Golf.

This follows a similar incident reported on Marina Drive in Newcastle at 9pm on Wednesday (26 May) where an 18-year-old girl was called over to an Asian male in a black VW Golf.

He was described by this victim as a man in his 20s, wearing all black, with short black hair and stubble.

Officers are currently reviewing CCTV footage of the areas at the time of each incident.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on Facebook, Twitter, or call 101, quoting incident number 460 of 27 May.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
