Appeal After Woman Injured in Collision

Officers are appealing for information after a woman sustained life-changing injuries in a collision.

Police were called shortly before midnight on Wednesday (27 October) to Wood Lane in Uttoxeter.

Officers attended and found a one-car collision, with the vehicle on its roof with the driver and sole-occupant, a woman, trapped inside.

Crews from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service freed the woman, aged 29 from the Uttoxeter area, from the grey Volkswagen Golf.

She was conveyed to hospital by the ambulance service for treatment of abdomen injuries.

Her injuries are believed to be life-changing.

She remains in a serious but stable condition in hospital.

Officers are appealing for anyone who saw what happened or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time to get in touch.
