Moorlands Police are appealing for information following a serious collision involving a car and a pedestrian in Cheadle.
Officers went to Tean Road just before 3pm on Saturday (6th January) with West Midlands Ambulance Service and found a black Volkswagen Polo and a woman, in her 80s, involved in a collision.
The woman was taken to hospital for treatment and remains in a critical but stable condition.
The driver of the Polo stayed at the scene to help officers with inquiries.
Anyone who saw what happened or those with CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time are asked to get in touch with police. Call 101, quoting incident 332 of 6th January.
