Appeal for Information Over Newcastle-under-Lyme Stabbings

Officers are appealing for information about a stabbing that took place on Monday 3rd May in the Cross Heath area of Newcastle-under-Lyme.

The incident occurred at about 1.40pm when there were reports of three men fighting on Comet Avenue.

Witnesses reported seeing one of the three men with a kitchen knife.

The man with a knife is described as white, about 5ft 8in tall and of slim build. He was dressed all in black including a balaclava, gloves and hood. He and another man are reported to have approached the scene from Matilda Grove.

Officers are also appealing for information over another stabbing that occurred in Newcastle-under-Lyme the same evening.

Officers attended the scene at the underpass near Sainsbury’s on Enderley Street after being informed of the incident by West Midlands Ambulance Service at about 7.50pm.

The victim, a man aged in his 20s, reported an unknown person running up behind them, when he received a one-inch wound to his back.
