Kidsgrove Athletic got pre-season 2023 underway with a 0-0 draw at home to a youthful Stoke City team.
Both teams had chances to win the game with Ryan Brown being forced into a fine save just before the half-time break to tip substitute Rattray chance over the bar. While for Kidsgrove, Kieran Knapper struck the post with a low drive which on another day would have bounced off the woodwork and into the back of the net.
