BREAKING NEWS: Grove and Dundas Part Company with Immediate Effect

Kidsgrove Athletic have announced this morning that they have parted company with Manager Scott Dundas with immediate effect.

Dundas had announced earlier in the week he had decided to leave the club at the end of the current season.

A statement released by the club said: “Following the midweek announcement that Manager Scott Dundas and his backroom staff would be leaving at the end of the season, the club and Scott have decided that in the interests of both parties to part company with immediate effect in order to allow the club to appoint a new manager with a view to building towards next season.

Chairman Mick Fitzjohn wishes to place on record his thanks and best wishes to Scott and all his backroom team. Also departing the club are Neil and Val who again go with the clubs thanks and best wishes.”

Dundas would have been in charge for four years tomorrow. He took over from Ryan Austin at the very start of the COVID pandemic.

Legendary player Anthony Malbon has been placed in charge until the end of the season. His reign will start with a home game against Bootle tomorrow. He will then negotiate a Staffordshire Senior Cup semi-final away at Rushall Olympic next Tuesday. The winners will face Leek Town in the final which will be played at the bet365 on 16th April.
