Bin collections in Leek, Leekbrook and Cheddleton are set to change from this Monday.
The ‘Leek Waste transfer station’ will be closed for maintenance for 4 months from this weekend. During this closure, waste collection crews will have to travel to Stoke-on-Trent to tip the waste, resulting in longer runs.
This means that some rounds will be reversed, and crews will need to start earlier, meaning in some cases an earlier bin collection.
Residents will need to present their bins the night before for, due to the earlier 6am start from this Monday 15th January.
