Congleton Town Council launches new Town Guide

Representatives from over 50 Congleton businesses came together in the Town Hall to celebrate the launch of a new Town Guide for Congleton. The Town Council partnered with Beartown Voice to produce the 2023 edition made possible by the support of 58 local businesses.

The compact A5 publication is a mix of advertorial and editorial and is packed full of useful information on the town’s attractions, shops, places to eat and stay, things to do, history, useful numbers and community connections. It was commissioned by the town council to give residents and those thinking of moving to the area an insight into what makes Congleton so special. The updated guide features digital links and QR codes making it easier for people to keep up to date with the latest information and download their own pocket versions.

Congleton’s new Town Mayor, Cllr Rob Moreton, addressed a buzzing room packed with sponsors and contributors invited to the launch event. Cllr Moreton said: “The town is growing rapidly and it’s evident from the guide we have a successful plethora of businesses and industry right here on our doorstep. Thank you to the 58 amazing businesses that took out an advert making the publication possible. Congleton born and bred, I can speak from the heart that Congleton is a wonderful thriving community to live, work and visit and the new Town Guide is a testament to that.

The collaboration between Congleton Town Council and Beartown Voice has been tremendous. The project has been massive undertaking, but the end result is one we should all be very proud of. Whatever your reason for coming to Congleton, you’ll have a thoroughly enjoyable time, the town has so much to discover and offer all year round.”

The free guide is available from the Congleton Information Centre and other outlets with 12,500 copies being delivered to homes, businesses and key attractions in and around Congleton. An on-line version can be viewed on the town council and Beartown Voice website. See: www.congleton-tc.gov.uk
