Congleton Town handed an away trip to Halesowen Town in the FA Trophy

Congleton Town have handed an away trip to Halesowen Town in the 1st round proper of the Isuzu FA Trophy.

Halesowen, who are based in Dudley, compete in the Southern League Central Premier Division, where they sit 5th in the league table. They defeated Redditch United 3-0 at the weekend to progress to this stage.

Meanwhile, the Bears have defeated Ashington, Wythenshawe, Avro before knocking Northern Premier League side Hyde United out of the competition at the weekend. Ethan Hartshorn’s late goal was the difference.

The tie will be played on Saturday 26th October 2024, meaning the game with Hednesford Town will be rescheduled.

Moorlands Radio are hosting a meet the manager evening at Congleton Town on the 16th October. Manager Richard Duffy, assistant Anthony Griffith and chairman Charles Porter will answer all of your questions. The event starts at 7.30 pm and tickets are £20 and include food.
