Congleton Town hoping for progression the FA Vase as they welcome Lye Town

Congleton Town get their Isuzu FA Vase campaign underway this weekend as they welcome Lye Town to The Cleric Stadium on Saturday.

Following a fine FA Cup run, where Congleton made the Third Qualifying round of the competition, the bears will be hoping for just as good a run in the FA Vase.

Meanwhile, Lye, who compete in the Midlands Football League, have already seen off Haughmond 2-0, hammered Northampton Sileby Rangers 8-0 and, put four past Ollerton Town in the last round.

Ahead of the game, I caught up with Congleton Town player-manager Richard Duffy to get his thoughts on the game.
