On Tuesday evening, Congleton Town won the Midlands Football League Premier Division.
Despite not being in action the Bears were confirmed as champions as Highgate United defeated Lichfield City meaning the South Staffordshire side could no longer catch the Bears at the top of the table.
The midweek sport show in association with Leek Building Society was on air when the news came through of Congleton’s success and, the Bears manager Richard Duffy very kindly joined us on the show to give us his reaction to winning the league.
