Dougie Mac’s weekly lottery rollover prize reaches £5,000

Dougie Mac’s weekly Lottery rollover prize has reached £5,000.

The rollover prize has been steadily increasing by £250 each week, since it was last won in February. And, with no-one scooping the prize, the rollover now stands at its maximum jackpot of £5,000 and must be won by one lucky ticket on Friday 7th July.

Jane Irving, Head of Lottery at Dougie Mac, said, “As we head into Summer I’m sure £5,000 would be a welcome boost to most people’s bank account. Just imagine what £5,000 could pay for – a family holiday, the chance to pay off some bills, or maybe simply top up your savings.”

In addition to this week’s special £5,000 rollover prize, anyone with a ticket will also be in with the chance of winning the guaranteed £2,000 weekly jackpot, as well as 148 smaller prizes of £10 or £20.

At just £1 per play, 61p goes directly towards providing specialist hospice care for adults, young adults and children facing a life-limiting illness in our local community.

Jane added, “Our weekly Lottery is a vital source of income for the hospice. Each year it generates more than £1.5million of income – that’s equivalent to the annual cost of the specialist nurses who work out in the community, who give priceless care to hundreds of patients in their own homes – so our players really are making a difference every time they play.

“Now that our rollover has reached its maximum £5,000 prize, there are chances to buy additional tickets for next week’s draw. So, whether you fancy your chances as a one off player, or you’re one of our regular Lottery members looking for extra chances to win, now’s the time to get your tickets.”

Tickets are just £1 per play and are available to buy at all local Dougie Mac charity shops; at the Supporter Hub at the hospice in Blurton; and online at www.dougiemac.org.uk/lottery All tickets must be purchased before 9am on Thursday 6th July to be in included in the £5,000 rollover draw on Friday 7th July.
