Football book, When The Circus Leaves Town, timed right for Father’s Day!

What happens when Football Clubs up-root and move grounds? How does that affect the fans and their community?

David Proudlove’s book When The Circus Leaves Town looks into Stoke City’s traumatic move from the Victoria Ground in the centre of Stoke to the new Britannia Stadium (now the bet365) up on Trentham Lakes.

He then goes on to cover the ground moves at Arsenal, Man City, Sunderland, Coventry, Leicester and many more.

Here he talk’s to Moorlands Radio’s Dave Lee:

The book is an excellent read with some great photos and some intriguing tales.

It is published by Pitch, and available now from bookshops, Amazon etc in (unsurprisingly) perfect timing for Father’s Day!

Dave is also a columnist in The Sentinel.
