On the eve of the new Sky Bet League Two season starting, Port Vale have brought in defender Kyle John on a one-year deal.
The former Everton youngster spent three years at Goodison Park before departing the Toffees at the end of his contract earlier this summer.
John has been on trial with the Vale throughout this pre-season and the 23 year old has impressed enough to sign a deal with the club to keep him until the summer of 2025.
Manager Darren Moore commented on his arrival: “I am delighted to welcome Kyle into our squad officially as we enter the 2024/25 season.
“He has been with us for a few weeks now where we have been able to observe and assess him both in training and in competitive games. He is energetic, he is combative and possesses good quality on the ball.
“Kyle has been keen to soak up all of the knowledge and experience from the experienced pros and staff around him ever since he’s been in the door, and we are all really looking forward to continuing to work with him throughout next year.
The full back will wear the number 24 shirt at the club.
