Leek then started to dominate the game with a second short corner strike from Ben giving Leek a 2-0 lead at half time. The second half started much the same with Ben White completing his hat-trick.

Leek’s 4th was the goal of the game with a lovely passing move which split the Sheffield defence coolly finished off by Joe Knott. Towards the end of the game Leek wound up proceedings with their 5th goal coming from Joe Priestman. This was a great came, played in good spirit in front of a large home crowd.

Andy Spragg Leek HC Chairman said: ‘What a great way to finish our Centenary season, we have a busy few weeks for the Club now, with a lot to organise! Starting with our Beer Festival next weekend which is our biggest fund-raiser and then organising a trip down to London for the final. I imagine we will need a coach or two for the supporters that will want to go!’
