Leek Town have signed experienced forward Brendon Daniels

Leek Town have pulled off a transfer coup as they have brought in Brendon Daniels from Southern League Central side Stourbridge.

Local lad Daniels spent over a decade at Crewe Alexandra coming through the youth set-up before making 10 appearances for the first team. In 2013 he was released by the club with manager Steve Davis saying he did not feature in his plans.

Upon departing Crewe, he joined National League side Chester. It was from here he played for several non-league clubs including Tamworth, Harrogate Town, AFC Fylde (where he won the National League North in the 2016/17 season) and Alfreton Town.

During his time with Alfreton, he impressed the then Port Vale manager Neil Aspin who brought him to Vale Park in May 2018. Daniels made his debut for the Vale at Walsall in the EFL Trophy group stages, as he replaced Anthony Kay in the second half.

His time at Vale Park did not last long as he was sent out on loan to National League North side AFC Telford United, first on loan in November 2018 before making the move a permanent one in the new year.

It turned out to be an inspired move for Daniels as he became a key player for the Bucks playing over 100 games for the club before he left in August 2023 following their relegation to the Southern League.

He then joined Stourbridge who played in the same division as the AFC Telford United.
