Man charged with driving offences following Leek collision

A man has been charged with driving offences following a collision in Leek.

Matthew Bailey, 33, of Cobridge, Stoke-on-Trent, has been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving whilst disqualified, failing to provide a specimen for analysis and using a motor vehicle on a road without third party insurance.

It comes after officers responded to reports of a collision between a van and a Skoda Octavia at 11.05pm on Saturday (12th October) on St. Edward Street.

The driver of the Skoda was not injured.

Bailey has been remanded ahead of his next appearance at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on 11th November.
