A Moorlands leisure centre has reported some misuse of their facilities.
Earlier this week Brough Park leisure Centre in Leek reported that local children had been using the bowls greens for playing football.
In a social media post they expressed their concern that local children had been playing on the greens with studded footwear and causing damage to the greens.
The post said:
“These bowls greens are for bowling on and not a football pitch.
“We are having huge issues with kids playing football and ruining the hard work the grounds team do on these greens.
“These bowlers old and new are enjoying the bowling, doing some exercise and socialising. The kids are ruining this experience by wearing football studs, blades and disregarding and abusing staff and bowlers who ask them to move.
Please may we ask you to be respectful and allow the greens to be used for their designated purpose.”
