Moorlands Police appealing for witnesses following car theft in Cheadle

Police are appealing for witnesses after a black Peugeot was stolen from a delivery driver by unknown offenders in the Staffordshire Moorlands area.

Police were called to Queen Street in Cheadle just after 9.40pm on Monday (30th January).

Two men had accessed a black Peugeot 107, with the engine left running on Queen Street, at about 9.35pm.

They then took off in the Peugeot in the direction of Oakamoor following the theft.

Both offenders are described as white, in their late 20s to early 30s, of slim builds and around 5ft 8in tall.

One of the men was wearing a dark woolly hat and a dark coloured bomber jacket.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was left shaken but unhurt following the theft.

The victim was out of the car delivering a parcel at the time of the theft.

Police are currently reviewing CCTV footage of the area.
