Newcastle’s win kept them up with the promotion pack. Despite them remaining in 8th position, they are just one point off 2nd place! Jake Lovatt’s excellent first half goal on the half hour was all that separated the two sides, although Town keeper Joe Slinn probably deserved man of the match for some brave saves.
