Two Biddulph boys arrested on suspicion of burglary

Two boys have been arrested as Moorlands Police continue to target anti-social behaviour and further offences in Biddulph.

Officers were called to Zurich Avenue in the early hours of Wednesday (17th May) after a group of boys were seen trying to get into a locked bike shed.

Police later found that a bike chain had been cut from a motorbike using a tool box which was left behind.

Officers searched the area and later arrested two boys, aged 17 and 15, from Biddulph, on suspicion of burglary.

They have since been released on conditional police bail while inquiries continue.

“We’ve been speaking to local residents and businesses about their concerns recently and have been proactively investigating intelligence leads and CCTV evidence to identify those responsible.

“Officers will continue to proactively disrupt those engaging in anti-social behaviour and act on the concerns of the local community who continue to report their concerns to us.”
