Woman in critical but stable collision following Moorville collision

Police are appealing for information following a collision in the Staffordshire Moorlands.

Officers were called to Leek Road, Moorville, just after 9.40pm on Tuesday (4th April).

Officers attended as did their colleagues from West Midlands Ambulance Service and Highways.

On arrival, they found a black Seat Mii and a pedestrian involved in a collision.

The road was closed at 9.45pm.

The pedestrian, an 19-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for treatment having sustained facial, head and leg injuries.

She remains in a critical but stable condition.

The driver of the Seat, a man in his 50s, remained at the scene and assisted officers with inquiries.

The road was reopened at 3.20am on Wednesday (5th April).

Officers from the Staffordshire and West Midlands Serious Collision Investigation Unit are asking anyone who saw the collision or those with CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.
