Police were called to West Street, Leek, at 7am today (19th August) following reports of an assault.
A man suffered injuries to his face and cuts to his hands and knee after being assaulted by a man inside an address.
His injuries were not deemed serious.
Firearms officers searched the address, but no-one was inside.
A scene was put in place at the address while officers continued to carry out enquiries to establish more about what happened.
