Appeal after teenage boy bitten by dog in Cheadle

Police are appealing for information after a teenage boy was bitten by a dog in Cheadle.

It happened just after 5pm on Thursday 11th January. The victim was jogging at the time when he went past a man and his dog on Cecilly Brook.

The dog then jumped towards the teen, causing minor puncture wounds and scratches to his stomach and leg.

The owner of the dog didn’t give any details and left the scene after it happened.

The boy did not require hospital treatment.

The dog is believed to be a spaniel and its owner is described as being in his mid-30s to mid-40s and around 5ft 10ins tall.

The man was wearing a light green coat.
