Biddulph Moor Core Group host second ‘Apple Day’ at the village hall

Biddulph Moor Village Hall was the setting for the second ‘Apple Day’ on Saturday (30th September).

It was organised by Biddulph Moor Core Group led by Dot Gordon.

The event was attended by lots of local organisations. Attractions included live music from Biddulph Ukulele Group and Dawson Dean. There were craft stalls, children’s games, local community groups along with face painting, a story tent, the local first responders, wood calving, a bicycle repair shop, cakes, bakes, and refreshments.

There was an apple pie contest on the day. The winners were Norma Gibson for the Best tasting and overall best in competition was won by Sarah Hall-Craggs.

The day also saw the launch of a new fundraising initiative to install an accessible path to the new orchard.
