Biddulph school to raise vital funds for community centre

A Biddulph school has offered to help a local community centre following a recent fire. A fire recently at ‘Biddulph Youth and Community Zone’ damaged the rear of the building and destroyed their community garden.

Biddulph High School are holding a ‘non-uniform day’ this coming Friday 12th May. Pupils will be able to come into school in non uniform in exchange for a £1 donation.

The headteacher Mrs E Robinson said:

“We have agreed to hold a non-uniform day next Friday 12 May to help to raise money for Biddulph Youth and Community Zone as they have recently suffered an arson attack. The Zone provides a range of support and facilities for local people. The school has always had a close working relationship with The Zone, and we want to do all that we can to support them in getting back on their feet.”

Damage was caused to the rear of the centre and the community garden, new fencing and a shed
