Man assaulted with bottle in Cheadle

Moorlands Police are appealing for information after a man sustained a head injury after being hit with a glass bottle in Cheadle.

Just after 10pm on Sunday (12th February), officers were called to Queen Street following reports that a man had been hit on the head with a bottle by two other men.

The victim, a man in his 20s, received treatment from paramedics from West Midlands Ambulance Service at the scene and was later taken to hospital but is not believed to have any serious injuries.

Both of the suspects had left the area before police arrived.

One of them is described as white, around 5ft 6in, roughly mid 20s and was wearing dark clothes.

A description of the second suspect is not known at this time.

Police have been making initial inquiries into the incident and would like to speak to any witnesses or those who may have CCTV or dashcam footage of the area at the time.
