As the COVID-19 vaccination programme transitions away from a pandemic emergency response, moving towards pandemic recovery, the autumn 2022 booster campaign will close on Sunday 12th February 2023. The 2021 booster offer (third dose) for people aged 16 to 49 years who are not in a clinical risk group will also close on the same day.
Although 390,000 residents in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent have had their autumn COVID-19 booster, there are still a number of eligible people who are yet to take up their winter vaccinations. Over the last 7-day period, there are currently 1,193 patients in hospitals in the Midlands with COVID-19. We, therefore, encourage those who are considered high risk of severe COVID-19 to come forward and get their booster before the 12th of February deadline.

Vaccination uptake in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent has been very good and we are one of the top performing areas in the region. Thank you to all our health and care organisations, numerous voluntary sector groups and many volunteers who continue to support us, and the public for coming forward to have their vaccinations”.
People can book their latest COVID-19 dose through the national booking system or by calling 119. You can also get a dose of the COVID-19 vaccine from a walk-in site without an appointment. People can find their nearest walk-in sites on the NHS website.
