Dame Karen Bradley MP – Weekly Update (15th February 2024)

As Valentine’s Day was this week, I would like to feature two fabulous Wedding Barns as my week 37’s Reason to Visit the Moorlands – The Ashes Barns in Endon and the Foxtail Barns in Consall.

We have such beautiful countryside in the Staffordshire Moorlands and these two Wedding Barns are both in picturesque settings with spectacular views which are perfect as the background to wedding photos. Ben and Sarah Reeves have really created two very magical places.

Hosting up to 150 guests, the Ashes Barns are in a stunning location. The West Barn is the oldest structure at The Ashes and is a 17th century Grade II* listed, rustic, stone barn. It is licensed for civil ceremonies and is perfect for the wedding ceremony, the wedding breakfast afterwards followed by a party with family and friends. It is really a fantastic, special Wedding Barn and everything you need for that special day is in one place.

The amazing Foxtail Barns are situated in the 70 acre grounds of the Tawny Hotel in Consall which I featured as my week 12’s Reason to Visit the Moorlands. It’s an incredibly beautiful setting for a wedding with secluded woodland and wedding night accommodation too. Again, able to host up to 150 guests the Foxtail Barns feature the Orangery which is a botanically inspired ceremony space as well as walled Gardens for exclusive use, filled with wildflowers, ferns, foliage, herbs and other vibrant blooms.

There is plenty of on-site accommodation with a specially designed wedding pod for the happy couple and 20 woodland pods available for wedding guests.

As before, everything is in one place, the ceremony, wedding breakfast and party.  Two very special Wedding Barns and certainly both great Reasons to Visit the Moorlands. Please do share your photos on my X/Twitter @VisitMoorlands
