On Thursday, Foley Meir found out that they were promoted to the North West Counties Football League after several seasons of hard work to get to this stage.
Next season, Foley will play in the NWCFL South division where they will come up against the likes of Cammell Laird, Alsager Town, Rocester, Stafford Town and Abbey Hulton United.
I caught up with manager Kieran Mear following the FA’s announcement to find out how the club based on Whitcombe Road, Meir, was taking the news.
