After months of planning, Hanley Town FC launched their Youth Development Programme on Wednesday evening.
Based at St. Peters Academy in Fenton, Hanley Town will have 10 age groups representing the club from Under 7s right through to Under 16s and, they have plans to introduce in the near future more teams to assist with a clear pathway into the first team.
Other information from the announcement is that each team will wear the same kit as the first team which the club launched last week and, each age group will have the opportunity to train at the same time as Ryan Shotton’s first team throughout the forthcoming 2023/24 season.
Club chairman Ron McIlreavy outlined the plans for the Youth development programme and, what it will mean for not only the football club but, the area as a whole.
