Kidsgrove midfielder Callum Leigh delighted to be back at the club.

Last weekend Callum Leigh returned to Kidsgrove Athletic from league rivals Clitheroe FC.

The midfielder arrived at the Grove last January from league rivals Widnes and became a key figure at the heart of the Kidsgrove midfield playing 18 times and netting three goals in the process. One of which was a fantastic free-kick in a 3-3 draw with Mossley.

However, over the summer he elected to play for the East Lancashire side where he featured 26 times for the Shawbridge club.

Having returned to Kidsgrove last week he found himself on the substitutes bench as league leaders Macclesfield FC came to town. Leigh managed to get a slice of the action as he replaced Ryan Allcock midway through the second half.

We caught up with the midfielder after he arrived back at the Autonet Insurance Stadium and, you can hear it below.

This interview was due to be part of this week’s episode of Moorlands Sport Extra. The podcast brought to you by the sports team at Moorlands Radio. However, due to the availability of our guests this week’s show was not recorded and we apologise for that.
