To get ahead of the festive rush, residents in the Moorlands are being reminded that the deadline to book their final flu and Covid-19 of the year via the National Booking System is just two weeks from now – on December 14th.
Vaccination sites may become busy so to avoid the vaccine rush, allow plenty of time for your appointment and book your vaccination ahead of the deadline.
Dr Lorna Clarson, Deputy Chief Medical Officer for the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board said: “We all love a Christmas get together. But it’s not uncommon to have four generations gathered in the same household so they can become super-spreader events. That’s why it is so important that anyone who is eligible gets their vaccination protection.”
If you haven’t had your Covid-19 vaccine yet, it’s important to book it before this date. Getting vaccinated helps to keep you and others safe from the virus.
Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Integrated Care Board (ICB) has been working with healthcare professionals, GPs and pharmacies to make it easy for people to get vaccinated. There are multiple vaccination sites across the Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent region.

Online: Visit the National Booking Service website NHS vaccination to book your appointment before 14th December.
Phone: Call 119 before 14th December.
Dr Clarson added: “Covid and flu vaccinations will be available for some people after 15th December at pharmacies and we will be running some pop-up and walk-in clinics, however by making sure you are vaccinated early, you will be playing a vital role in maintaining yourself and your loved ones’ health.
“Covid vaccines will be available at some venues and walk-in clinics until 31 January 2024 and flu vaccines until 31 March 2024. Everyone deserves to be safe and happy around this busy and festive time.”
