Leek Arts Festival organisers urging local artists and performers to come forward

Local artists and performers are being urged to come forward with their plans for this year’s Leek Arts Festival.

Festival organisers have already lined-up a series of top name artists for this year’s programme – but they need input from local artists and performers who want to stage their own events as part of the festival in May.

LAF chairman Phil Edmeades said: ‘We’re planning some big-name events, but we want to see lots of local artists putting on gigs and other events as part of the festival.
“All that’s needed is for them to organise their event then let us have full details to include in the programme.”

Around 30,000 copies of the printed programme will be distributed to homes in the Leek and surrounding area in the run-up to the Festival.

All events will also be featured in the local press, online at www.leekartsfestival.co.uk and on social media.

Phil added: “The deadline for getting information to us is Monday, February 19. We realise that’s pretty tight, but we need to get everything ready to go to the printers by the end of February. Any events that miss the printed programme deadline will still be featured on the LAF website.”

Event information for this year’s Leek Arts Festival should be e-mailed to philedmeades@gmail.com
