Leek High School: progress made, but school remains in special measures

Leek High School has received a further Ofsted monitoring visit.

Ofsted Inspectors attended the school on the 8th November. The inspectors said that leaders had made progress to improve the school, but more work was needed for the school to be no longer judged as requiring special measures.

Previously, Ofsted had stopped the school from appointing early career teachers, something which has now been lifted.

Inspectors also noted that progress had been made with attendance and behaviour.

They also recommended that additional support was needed for SEND pupils.
