Moorlands Police are appealing for information and witnesses to come forward following a call to an assault at The Anchor Inn, Breach Lane in Upper Tean.
It is believed that 3 males assaulted another male at approximately 9:15pm on 21st June.
There is information to suggest a female, unconnected to either the victim or suspects intervened during the incident.
Officers are yet to identify this female who may hold key information and police are appealing for her to come forward.
Any witnesses are being asked to call 101 quoting incident number 847 of the 21st of June.
