Moorlands Sport Extra: Season Two, Episode 1.2

The Sport team at Moorlands Radio is delighted to announce that the Moorlands Sport Extra podcast is back!

It’s just under a year since we launched the podcast, which was rather successful. However, we have made some big changes to how the podcast is put together for the new season.

First up we now record the podcast live on FM radio, which means that you can listen to the podcast being recorded on a Tuesday night between 7 pm and 9 pm- join us on 103.7fm, 97.3fm, DAB, on the app and online at www.moorlandsradio.co.uk.

We aim to bring you more interviews, more discussions with our reporters and even more opinions on the goings on of our local sporting teams.

With it being a two-hour recording, we are going to split the episodes into two parts each week. Part one of episode one went out yesterday and part two is below for you to listen to.

In part two of this week’s podcast, we preview Congleton Town, Newcastle Town and Hanley Town’s up coming season. We hear from Congleton manager Richard Duffy, Newcastle Town chairman Gavin Appleby, Hanley Town chairman Ron McIlveary and Hanley Town player/manager Ryan Shotton.

Our Stoke City reporter Dave Lee and Port Vale reporter Mike Stubbs also drop in to offer their thoughts on the new season.
