Moorlands Police have arrested two teenage boys following an attempted burglary report in Cheadle.
A local police officer was approached by someone on Friday 4 October who reported that a group of young people had been spotted on CCTV.
They were trying to get inside a house near Rakeway Road at about 3am the same morning.
Nothing was taken and the group ran away after seemingly being spooked during the act.
Officers worked to investigate what had happened and to track down the suspects.
Two 16-year-old boys, from Stoke-on-Trent and Cheadle, were arrested yesterday on suspicion of burglary. They will be questioned in custody.
