It was raining goals at the bet365 stadium as Stoke City put six past league rivals Rotherham United to progress to the third round of the Carabao Cup.
The Potters raced into a 4-1 lead at the interval thanks to goals from Wouter Burger, Ryan Mmaee, Josh Laurent and Tyrese Campbell. While Sean Morrison replied for the visitors.
After the break, Laurent grabbed his second goal of the evening and, Mehdi Leris got his first goal for the club to secure an emphatic victory for Alex Neil’s men.
Our Stoke City reporter Dave Lee was at the game and, sent us this report.
