Moorlands people encouraged to consider volunteering as part of King’s Coronation celebrations

With volunteering taking centre stage for the King’s Coronation celebrations in May, local charities and groups are being encouraged to highlight any current opportunities or to offer taster sessions.

The Big Help Out is a national campaign to highlight the wide range of volunteering opportunities available across local communities and the fantastic work volunteers do. The day will take place on Monday, 8th May 2023 and is part of the wider Coronation celebrations over the Bank Holiday weekend.

Activities could include a one-off event like a community clean-up, a celebration of volunteers or an information event about regular volunteering opportunities.

Organisations can register their events at the Big Help Out website.  People can also search for events near them on the Big Help Out App which can be downloaded from the App Store or on Google Play.

The campaign is being backed by the Staffordshire Lieutenancy office who will be supporting events across the county.
