Staffordshire companies honoured in King’s Awards for Enterprise

Two Staffordshire companies have been recognised for their contribution to business in the 2023 King’s Awards for Enterprise.

The awards are presented annually and winners are selected in categories including, innovation, international trade, sustainable development, and promoting opportunity through social mobility. The winners are selected by an independent panel of judges who are experts in their respective fields.

Protectapet Ltd, based in Newcastle won their award for innovation while Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce won the award for promoting opportunity through social mobility.  Both organisations will receive their awards later this year from the Staffordshire Lieutenancy office on behalf of the King.

James Leavesley, Staffordshire Deputy Lieutenant and Panel Champion for Business and Enterprise said: “Staffordshire companies yet again show they are not only brilliant in their expertise but have achieved the highly sought after King’s Award for Enterprise.

“The internationally recognised award is the most prestigious award any company can win, and huge congratulations go to our two winners this year.”

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are amongst the most prestigious awards for UK businesses.  They are open to businesses of all sizes, from small startups to large corporations, as well as individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to the UK economy and society.  Winning a King’s Award for Enterprise is a prestigious honour that can help to raise a company’s profile and boost its reputation.
